Wedding photography Breda, the Netherlands
Is has been a little while since this wedding photographer Breda – or actually, wedding photography duo the Netherlands – captured Chantal & Michels’ wedding in our own Brabant. We had met this lovely couple of few years back, at Angela & Patrick’s wedding, also in Breda and so the ice was already broken ;-). The day started in Zevenbergen, brought us to Roosendaal and from there onwards to Terheijden and Breda. But we started the day as wedding photography team at two different addresses (one of the big advantages of having your wedding captured by two wedding photographers!) in Zevenbergen to capture both the bride’s and the groom’s preps.
After a very lovely first look we left for the portrait session and had arranged a very special location for this: the old ‘Locloods’ in Roosendaal, a huge train hangar. The ‘Locloods’ hangar is part of the station and all its surrounding buildings and was built in 1907 in Roosendaal. The hanger, as well as the signal house, the signal bridge and the customs hangar are all listed buildings. The hangars used to – and still do today – house trains and locomotives for maintenance and repair, so we proceeded amongst the trains with caution and protective measurements for the dress ;-).
Soon it was time to get married and so we all left for Terheijden, where Chantal & Michel would tie the civil and religious knot at the ‘Witte Kerkje’ church. But first we made a quick stop at the nursing home where Michel’s mum is living ever since she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. It was a tough, emotionally charged and touching moment, but we consider it a privilege to have been able to capture this for bride & groom and are very proud of the trust they have installed in us to capture this moment for them.
After the civil and religious ceremony we moved on to Breda where it was time for some toasting and cake-cutting at Restaurant Boswachter Liesbosch. The day concluded with a great party which – we can only imagine – to have carried on until the early hours of the next morning… Dear Chantal & Michel, we wish you all the love & happiness in the world and want to thank you for your trust, kindness and for the fact that you are an awesome couple!
