Wedding Photographer Italy | Getting married in Italy | Wedding in Ravello
Who doesn’t dream about getting married in Italy, the country of ‘La Dolce Vita’? I’m sure every bride must have dreamt at one point or another about a wedding in Italy with a ceremony in Amalfi’s historical church; a lovely lunch at lush tables in the hills of Tuscany, surrounded by cypress and olive trees; a wedding in Ravello at the Amalfi coast with a portrait photoshoot in the picturesque alleys with their colourful oleander flowers or a fantastic wedding party in Sicily…
From Tuscany to Campania and Puglia, Florence and Rome, Positano, Sorrento, Ravello or Amalfi, the possibilities for a wedding in Italy are endless and one location is more gorgeous than the other. I’d be happy to accompany you as your wedding photographer to capture your special day for you, wherever the final destination may be. Italian is my second language, I have lived & worked there for 9 years so that could be convenient if you don’t speak the language yourself. Having a wedding photographer who is fluent in your mother tongue and speaks fluent Italian could be a nice bonus ;-).
Two weeks ago I was in Ravello at the Amalfi coast to participate in a photography workshop and it became all to clear how special it is when you can celebrate your love and have your wedding in Italy. If you are considering getting married in Ravello there are plenty of options. For starters you can choose to stay at one of the beautiful villa’s, overlooking the Amalfi coastline, where you can have your bridal preparations captured in style.
The religious ceremony can be held in one of the many historical churches, for example at the Santa Maria a Gradillo – dating from the 11th (!) century…
or at the cathedral, at Ravello’s main square.
After the ceremony we can plan your portrait photoshoot in the amazing setting of Ravello and surroundings, even the church stairs are gorgeous! The village itself is abndant in small, medieval alleys, lush parks with flowering oleanders en incredible villa’s with stunning ochre yellow walls.
The festivities can be held at one of the breathtaking villa’s overlooking the Amalfi coastline (and these are also perfectly suitable for the formals). There is Villa Rufolo, at the heart of Ravello village, but also Villa Eva, specialized in weddings.
Finally there is Villa Cimbrone, where the dinner and party can be held under the historical arches…
In short, a dream!
Should you wish to make this dream come true, I’d be happy to accompany you as your destination wedding photographer to capture your wedding in Italy, so you can cherish and relive these moments for years to come. Don’t hesitate to contact me for more information, ciao!
